Independence of the Regulatory Authority – Legal Aspects

Researched aspect of ensuring the independence of the President of Energy Regulatory Office of the European Union. It is shown that such independence is a guarantee of fair competition and consumer protection in the power and gas markets. The President of the ERO may be in possession of data justifying the sanctions in the case of a threat to a stable supply.
