Transformation of the Legal Mentality Through the Prism of the Evolution of Social Values in Western and Ukrainian Legal Tradition

The article analyzes the uniqueness and specificity of perception shared values (freedom, law, human rights and freedoms, justice, equality) in the Western European and legal consciousness.The necessity of the formation mechanism of consolidation in ethnic (mentalitetnom) of justice generally recognized constitutionally declared values. Emphasizes the need for research and developments of social experience that would combine traditional Ukrainian mentality with common values of Western European. Separately indicated the existence of differences in the perception of the basic social values of the residents of Western and Eastern Ukraine, as well as the critical importance of bringing them closer to each other in the light of the current socio-political situation in the country.
