Customary Law of Ancient Egypt: Some Historical-legal Aspects

The article is devoted to some historic-legal aspects of customary law of Ancient Egypt. Customary law of Ancient Egypt, which was based on a religious worldview, determines the content of a large part of the social life of this state – the justification unboundedness monarchy, the divine essence of justice, and also the regulation of civil, criminal and family relationships and so on. Ancient Egyptian customs are analyzed: reincarnation of Ka, court of oracle, mysteries name, collateral of mummy, fictitious adoption, senior heir, marriage between relatives and corporal punishments. The basis of the legal system of Ancient Egypt were customary-legal norms, formed in ancient times, wich later suffered layers of other eras and existed with Egyptian statehood until several thousands years.
