Realization of Raw Wood on a Competitive Basis: Legal Comparative Analysis of the Ukrainian and Foreign Experience

Abstract

The article analyzes the issues of application of legal norms on the ownership, use and disposal of forest resources. The emphasis is laid on the legislation and peculiar features of organization of exchange auctions on the sale of raw wood both in Ukraine and countries of Europe and America. The experience of raw wood trade among the countries of Europe is characterized by great diversity and variability. European countries are autonomous in choosing the methods of the timber industry management. An important condition for such work is the freedom of business activity, the provision of adequate and equal conditions for every economic entity. As a result of this approach, the cooperation between the state and private enterprises is rather efficient for the good of the country. The author affirms that improvement of legislation in the sphere of raw wood realization will accelerate the European integration process and bring the timber trade to a new level corresponding to the standards of European countries.
